Rift mode is horrible, and I regret starting it to try and get Agent Smith. They really need to change the game so everything can be unlocked in PVP mode. Playing the same challenges over and over in different difficulties is so boring. and right now its impossible to even finish them because there aren't enough rifts to unlock him.

Here’s my take: I’m calling it right now, they’re not going to have a new traditional ssb game bc they cannot “step in the great man’s shoe.” At most, they make a deluxe, but definitely not try to outcompete the everyone is here marketing (bc roster representation is the pinnacle of what smash means). They’re going to create a spin off game of some sort. Guaranteed 💯. They will 100% ruin the franchise if they try to outdo all the things that made ultimate successful. Especially considering how it seems Iike sakurai won’t be working on any new smash game ever again.

l was present for the smash 4 days of corrin & the h8t she got, and ssbu with byleth as well, and looking back, at least byleth was original in their move set imo. Corrin wasn’t that original and deserved more h8t than byleth. It sucked that byleth was yet another FE character, and it should’ve been monster hunter Iike you said, given the potential similar moveset compatibility. Also, sakurai said in a Iater direct that there are nintendo employees who come up to him & basically force him to add certain characters. “We need you to add XYZ to the game as a playable fighter.” So imo, l think those were at minimum incineroar and byleth. He Iowkey admitted he thought of adding tetra before 😮 9:43

I’m currently watching the replay right now and I just realized that there was no Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD in the Direct itself. Are those games just not going to come out for the Switch? Edit: Nor Kid Icarus Uprising. I was kind of really hoping for all three of those titles actually. That’s probably why this direct for me was a bit underwhelming. The thing I’m most excited for is DKC Returns coming to the Switch…but even that game is annoyingly not coming out until 2025…

I recommend starting with Dragon Quest 11 if you wanna give the series a shot. Its more story focused than DQ3 and its a prequel to it as well. Not to mention it has a 10 hour demo.

Out of all the Mario RPGs, this one might have the best art style, although that might be heretical on this channel.
